Macro Algae : GCE's Shipping Procedures and Policies ecosystems

We use Paypal to process all online orders. Paypal is safe and convenient for the majority of our customers. You don't have to register with Paypal to make an online payment. If you need help placing an order over the phone, we  would be happy to help. If we are out of stock on an item when you order we will notify you via email. If you order an item listed as "out of stock" we will try to fill it but a refund may be issued for the item(s) that aren't available. All orders received after 10:00 am EST on Tuesday will typically be shipped the following week.

All orders are shipped Mon-Wed via USPS Priority Mail service. All orders ship for a flat rate of $16.50 regardless of the quantity ordered. This charge includes the cost of shipping in single or multiple packages, an insulated box and heat and or cold packs. Priority mail generally arrives in 2-3 business days. Some locations do take 3 days with Priority Mail. We have been shipping marine plants and invertebrates with our packing method for over 12yrs with excellent success. Still to date, Priority mail is the most economical way to ship and we understand the risk, which is why we guarantee our products to arrive alive.

We now offer FedEx 2-day and overnight service for an additional charge. If interested call or email for a quote. In addition, many orders on the east coast will now be shipped FedEx ground which will ensure delivery in 2 business days.

All macro algae and plant specimens are shipped in 100% water to ensure quality. The size varies depending on each product, but is approximately 1 pint or 1/4 lb depending on the species. Snails are shipped in partial water with 100% oxygen added. Gorgonians and or coral are shipped in full water with no air added. Our aquaculture and holding tanks have an approximate salinity range of 1.026 - 1.028. This is the same salinity as ocean water where we collect. We suggest acclimating any product that will be added to an aquarium with a known salinity.

All product is carefully packed for safe transit. Please contact us immediately if your plants did not survive shipment. We will replace any marine plants for free (less shipping costs) if you are not completely satisfied with the quality of the shipment. If you have any questions please contact us.
